Game Boy

Game Boy

The Game Boy was released in 1989 and, though technologically inferior to similar consoles, immediately outsold its competitors. The massive success of Game Boy's first generation prompted an update to its hardware, and soon the Game Boy Colour was born, bringing it back up to par with competitors, while still retaining the long battery life and durability that had made it so popular to begin with. Originally launched with 6 titles, the library of Game Boy games quickly grew to include some of the most iconic games ever made. The Game Boy’s greatest claim to fame? The birthplace of Pokemon, of course!
